about
This song describes my love of contrast. Especially earthly tones, with a slight undead, or banshee twist. Adorned in ebon shades or not, including even dim and "earthesque" accents. The Moon in a dark sky, and how it though pale with the right backdrop really makes it shine. Much like eyeliner makes ones eyes pop from the contrast of the white of our eyes. The backdrop is a metaphor for internal support. Something that guides us, pushes us into the vast solar system among the stars. Ad Astra.
The title and chorus line was literally a fun take off of "Orange is the New Black", and incorporates a spin on the idea that the style and "dark aesthetic" (unfortunately not the music with it) is becoming increasingly more popular among the general public.
Pressing on has never been easier when the future is as dark as the present. The pale horse of doom has arrived, are you ready?
lyrics
Like the moon in a dark sky.
Calling out to the stars.
Take you in as I walk by.
That kind of beauty is sparse.
Come on baby, keep me up all night.
Tell me maybe, you'd like to take a ride.
Pale is the New Tan
Opal glow in a dark shroud
A rare gem, unearthed
Veins bulge in a rush nigh
Adrenaline surge
Come on baby. Keep me up all night.
Tell me Maybe, you'd like to take a ride.
Pale is the New Tan
Lookin' real good darlin'
Don't worry me at all
With looks done honey
Just like a porcelain doll
Come on honey, hit me up tonight
Call me baby, I'd like to take a ride.
